Hi all, and greetings as i am new here. ;)

I have a H100i and it is working great, the Link software on my new build worked great too until today when i updated my AMD driver.

Now in the Link software i don't have the fan speed dial for the gpu, i do have the temp for it but i cant control the fans on my R9 290.

I have unplugged the usb header, uninstalled and rebooted countless times but still my GPU isnt controllable as it was yesterday, i even uninstalled the display driver and reinstalled etc but still no gpu control ?

Can anyone offer any idea as to why this has happened and how do i fix it ?

I am running vers RC-v2.4.5110

Thanks in advance peeps,

Lee.

SORTED !!! i reinstalled the old AMD driver and catalyst CC, obviously this new update driver dont like LINK software :(

Not a real issue i guess, Skyrim still plays on ULTRA settings at a steady 50 - 60 fps so no great loss.

Its the old "dont mend what aint broken" scenario lol

I am glad that you were able to restore normal operation of your system by downgrading your AMD driver and Catalyst software. What that means, however, is that you may never be able to update your video driver software due to the apparent "disconnect" between the Link software and the AMD/Catalyst software unless you are willing to accept the issue you have discovered.

Generally those interfaces are well-defined are not touched during software updates to preclude such problems as this but sometimes things happen and the interface that Link is looking for or expecting has changed.

It would be good for you to try and make Corsair aware of the issue through technical support (not this forum) so that any disconnects can be tracked and, hopefully, resolved in future software builds.

When you update the GPU drivers the Link software will see it as a 'new' device. Hence the dial and temperature readout will die. If you go into the options and select 'show all devices' you should be able to remove the old dials and add the new ones (after unhiding them).

Or just deleting the contents of the %APPDATA% folder will start you with fresh devices again.

That's my experience.

Thanks peeps, since then i have discovered that when i updated my AMD CCC there was a conflict somewhere and the old drivers didnt get uninstalled properly so i followed some quide on the AMD forum and i have now managed to totally uninstall the old driver/ccc and update to the newest version and Corsair Link works fine now. So lesson learnt here is to not let AMD install an update before i have manually uninstalled the old version ! ;)
