MisterEd Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 this was the original intent (I think) of my post. I was warned by several friends that a clc was an invite for disaster, and because of that advice, I had never even considered one in any of my builds. I finally went with the H100i on my new build because of a review in PCGamer. I have been incredibly happy with the unit (knock on wood), but all I ever see, and/or read, is posts about failing units, never positive. So therefore I posted a question "how many of these clc's, actually fail vs. how many are sold?" You said that you were warned by several friends. You should ask them what was the basis of their warnings. I bet they will say it was just something that they had heard or read somewhere. That is the problem with misinformation. Eventually it develops a life of its own and become accepted as if it were facts. The only cure for misinformation is people not always believing what they hear and be willing to be search for the real truth. The problem with CLCs is that the only ones that know the real facts are the manufacturers and they are not talking. BTW, we are probably all guilty of spreading misinformation at one time or another. Most people are willing to accept that they are wrong and move on. The problem is some people are either unable or unwilling to ever admit that they are ever wrong.
kwisatzhaderach Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I would be more curious about all the 860i failures before the H100i units.
