One bad stick?

Recommended Posts

I have two sticks of CMX512-3200C2 in an Asus P4C800-E MB running Windows XP Pro with a P4 3.2Ghz processor. Worked fine for about 9 months then started getting memory error on boot. Pulled one stick and still got the error. Switched sticks and system runs fine. Bad stick?

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have,

CPU Freq: 200 Mhz

Memory Frequency: 400

Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts

Resulting Frequency: 166MHz

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T

Then you have to diusable legacy USB when running http://www.memtest.org and test the modules one up!
