  1. I'm going to be moving to Linux as my daily driver. Given that iCue is not supported in Linux, in addition to my personal preference/paranoia of software failures, especially in an unsupported OS, would I be better off plugging the 3 AIO fans directly to the mobo bypassing the Commander Core all together? Currently, with Windows, I use the hardware profile for both the RGB and cooling management with iCue completely uninstalled after initial config. So I guess my questions are: - Will the hardware cooling profile persist even with Windows removed? - Should I keep all of my 6 fans plugged into the Commander Core and use an open source software in Linux? - Should I go the mobo route and giving up on setting the fans to coolant temp and use CPU temp instead? I am still not clear about the safeguard with the Commander Core but I haven't been stressing my CPU since I built it so I haven't ran into any cooling related issue yet. This is my hardware configuration: - AMD 7900X (updated to the latest chipset) - Asrock X670E SL BIOS 2.02 - 4x32GB Corsair (CMH128GX5M4B5600C40) – Unfortunately, I mistakenly selected this model without proper filters, and it's not even on the QVL list. Returned them and got Corsair 2x48GB with QVL - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Gigabyte - 1300W EVGA Gold - Corsair icue 360 pump + 3 Corsair QL AIO + 3 corsair SR 120 (2in side+ 1 ex rear) - 2 Noctua ippc 3000 bottom - Hyte Y60
  2. Hi everyone! I just bought new rm850e PSU and almost right away started noticing weird noise. First, I read that the fan shouldn't even start spinning unless there's some serious load - in this case, even if everything is closed down and it's just the windows desktop, the fan periodically turns on. All other fans on the build are going on low rpm's or just idling. Second, once the PSU's fan starts spinning, it makes quite a loud sound, which to me makes it seem that there's something wrong there mechanically. I searched online and couldn't find the exact loudness issue with the same sound so I would be happy if someone could tell me if this is the expected noise for normally working PSU fan, or if I should rather take it back to the seller. Below is the video with the sound in question, captured on phone: https://photos.app.goo.gl/g3dBanBtUCjhqCqY7 Any advice would be appreciated.
  3. I purchased a replacement fan (DF128010BM) for my Corsair One i160 because the original fan is making an annoying squeaky noise. However, I can’t manage to disconnect the original fan from the motherboard — the 4-pin connector will not disconnect no matter how hard I pull. Is it possible that the machine ships with the connector glued together? Any tips on how to disconnect the old fan without damaging the connector on the motherboard?
  4. Hi, I bought the Carbide Spec-Delta RGB and now I would like to buy more fans. The thing is that I want to buy the same model as the prebuilt ones but I could not find out what fans mount the case. I would also like to know if the ones that are prebuilt in the case are pwm or dc powered. There is attached a photo with the cabinet so you can see what model I am refering to. Thx.
  5. Hello, I recently noticed that 5 leds out of 8 on a corsair sp120 rgb elite fans are not lighting up. I bought the fan with my pc 4 months ago, and there are 3 of them, and the problem is only in one of them. The corsair icue software shows the leds are lighting up. I discovered that 5 leds are not lighting up. What should I do, how can I fix it without taking back to the store? Thanks.
  6. It's described here https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/p/accessories/cmdaf2/dominator-airflow-platinum-rgb-fan-cmdaf2 but I can't find a link to buy one, neither on corsair.com nor google searching. Does anyone know where I can get one and how much they cost?
  8. Hi All, I have a h150i elite cappelix, which I want the fans to be managed by the commander pro. Obviously I still need the commander core to wire up the pump. So see my design below. I have a 5000X case. What I did is: - removed the PWM fan controller included in the case --> wired it up to the commander PRO - Used the commander PRO as the FAN controller for the H150i fans - Connected all casefans and H150I fans to the RGB hub included with the case - Connected the Pump to the commander core So my concrete question is: Will the H150 elite cappelix setup work with this setup? Or do I have to connect the fans and RGB to the commander core in order to get it working?
  9. I just completed my first PC build and used a RM1000e PSU. (Ryzen 9 7900x, RX6700xt GPU, ASUS X670e /wifi mobo, corsair H150i AIO cooler, RAM SSD etc etc) I went through the motions of updating the BIOS/drivers on a Windows 11 Home OS. At some point this PSU decided to ignore the fact that it is a Zero RPM fan which is only supposed to kick on at about 40% load and now just runs at full pelt from startup. I've spent several hours searching the web for an answer/clue and didn't get very far. Tried opening a ticket with Corsairs little chat bot and am still waiting three days later. This fan, supposedly a low noise fan for near silent operation, runs at about 40-42 dB straight out the gate. This is regardless of what I'm doing (BIOS, windows home screen, working, gaming, watching cat videos on YT) So, either the PSU is defective in some way (temp sensor?), there is a setting that is incorrect (would not surprise me...) or it doesn't like me and wants me to yeet it out of a window. Any ideas would be welcome
  10. I bought a H100i, i installed it and already had vengeance rs ram so i already had the software, i am able to connect the pump but not the fans, everything is plugged in accordingly on the commander core (not showing up either) FAN: port 1, 2 RGB: port 1, 2 (tried 2,3 and 3,4 and 4,5) PUMP RGB: plugged in THINGS I HAVE TRIED: reinstalling icue, manually setting up the fans, reinstalling icue again, moving ports, downloading other icue software OTHER SOFTWARE I HAVE INSTALLED: logitech ghub, obinskit rgb keyboard software. please help i want these fans lit up.
  12. Hi I am pretty new to PC building and this forum so I am sorry if this is the wrong place for this. I was wondering if this wiring setup would allow me to control all the fan speed / RGB lighting of the 7 fans. Thank you.
  13. I was fully upgrading my pc and I needed new fans because I changed my power supply since I got an rtx 3070 ti. I have a 750 w power supply, but only one fan spins? I have plugged everything in for leds and they work great however only my top fan wants to spin. Even when I plug the other fans into different places on the motherboard for where fans go the others don’t work. I know for one this is not a fan issue, because right when I installed them all of them turned on and were running but after that they never did again. I’m wondering if I don’t have enough power output to them, but I have no clue how to chnage that or if it’s truly the problem.
  14. Hey guys.. When I checked my unit BIOS settings I noticed that there was 2 fans 1 for the CPU and it was set to PWM The other was for the system and was set to DC Also when I click optimize default, it chooses these types for each fan Should I manually change them to match types or these types are correct? I'm asking because I'm having issues with my fans not spinning at all whatever the work I do Thank you
  15. Try not to focus on my artistic skills, the non-existent attempt to scale things according to real-life, and the fact that I didn't put the fan cables side-by-side. lol ML refers to ML140 Elite fans. Could be QL140 too. PINK for RGB cables and slots. RED for fan cables and slots. YELLOW for USB cables and slots. TL;DR: Will everything work fine if I follow the illustration above? I'm getting myself some new fans and light strips as soon as the Lian Li O11 Air Mini is available in Brazil. I have no idea where I should begin when it comes to the accessories needed to achieve my goal, so any help would be appreciated. I already have two ML140 Elite fans from my H115i Elite AIO and I think I'll buy another 4 because they seem to be more durable than something like an LL140 or QL140. I might change my mind and get 4 or 6 QL140. I'll have 2 front intake, 2 bottom intake, and 2 top exhaust fans (for my radiator), all 140 mm. I'm not counting the 120 mm rear fan because I'll use a discrete non-RGB fan there, or maybe even an LCD monitoring screen instead of a fan. As for the light strips, my plan is to set an LS100 450mm strip at the top and the other at the bottom, so that's why I wouldn't daisy chain them. I have the Commander CORE that came with the AIO, but not the Commander PRO. I guess I could get a Lighting Node PRO instead, but the Commander PRO would allow me to add extra fans if I ever need to. These are the main questions I have: Would the LS100 Expansion Kit 450mm strips work without the LS100 Starter Kit? Corsair's website says the LS100 Starter Kit is required for some reason, but I'm hoping they will work with the Commander PRO alone since I don't really need 4 strips and another controller. Can I connect the Commander CORE USB cable into the Commander PRO USB slot? If so, is there any difference between this and connecting each controller into a different USB 2.0 slot in the motherboard?
  16. Today I applied the regular windows 10 update KB5008212, and then my iCUE 3 software didn't recognize my i200 PRO as device anymore. I used the newest 3 with no effect. I was not able to de-install the security update ... and found me in a critical situation because without fan control I can't keep my system cool (only the emergency hardware fan control is then available which kicks in far too late). The only way out was upgrading to iCUE 4, even though the download/support page of i200 PRO says to use iCUE 3. It seems to work now and my PC is cooling down again from already 80C motherboard and 58C coolant temperature. But I noticed that my SSD is not recognized anymore, not mission critical but a drawback. I don't want to have that experience ever again ... and following questions: 1. Is using iCUE 4 safe for i200 PRO series? 2. Is there any way to set the hardware fan speed curve (without iCUE) to anything else than the most lazy? My default software setting is 60% fan speed flat to keep my coolant temp below 45C. 3. How can I get back monitoring temp of my SSD?
  17. Hey everybody, yesterday I bought a Corsair iCue 220T RGB Glass Case, 3x SP120 Pro fan and 2x LL120 fan. To control the fans and LEDs I use a Corsair Commander Core XT. My problem is iCue 4 can't control the fan speed. The SP120 are locked around 600-800 RPM and the LL120 are locked around 1400 RPM. (But the LED control works fine.) I've read many forum entries and tried a lot. For example, user-defined presets, restart, reinstallation, updates, delete settings from AppData, etc. Unfortunately, nothing helped... Maybe someone had the same problem and maybe they can help me. Thanks in advance! Greetings Critical My PC MB: ASUS Q87M-E PS: be Quite 550W 80Plus Platinum GC: NVIDIA RTX 3060 RAM: 16GB [4 x 4GB] Processor: Intel i7-4790K HD: 4TB [2x 500GB HDD(WD) ; 2x 500GB SSD (Samsung, WD)] Fan: 3x Corsair SP120 Pro 2x Corsair LL120 Controller: Corsair Commander Core XT
  18. Corsair One Pro 2017/18 i7700K 1080ti Recently I had to do a fresh install of Windows 10 due to a dieing m.2 drive. Everything is working fine after downloading drivers including Corsair Link. However.... the fan curve is now non-existant. It is either 400rpm or running at absolute max and doesn't do anything in between. Internet browsing, youtube and low demand games are fine but as soon as a moderate load hits it ramps up immediatly to max fan speed? How do I fix this?
  19. Hello, Recently, I noticed that when I startup my PC, only 1 of my 4 LL fan's lighting will turn on right away, and it takes the other 3 fans about 10-15 minutes before the lighting turns on for the rest. I haven't been able to figure out why that is. The fan that turns on right away is port #1. To be clear, all the fans spin properly, it's just the lighting that is having an issue. I'm fairly new to PC stuff, any help is appreciated! I have two LL120 fans and two LL140 fans.
  20. Hey there, I recently built a new machine (been in the PC space for about 8 years, but never built my own machine) and in that order I bought a single LL140 because, primarly, it was on sale, but also because of its RGB. I didn't do any research, and assumed I'd be able to use an RGB header on my MB. I was wrong. Fair enough, but I was wondering if I need to buy both the Commander Pro and the controller for one fan, or if just the Commander Pro is sufficent for one fan? Cheers!
  21. PSU is Corsair AX1200i. Is this situation from topic title normal? Shoud fan always spin on self-test button pressed? I run self test while only 230v power cable connected to PSU. No any other cables connected. PSU lies on dielectric wooden clean office table. P.S. I know instructions manual says fan should spin on self-test button pressed, but why test status LED shows green light then if fan failed to spin on start? It is obviously not "green" situation.
Wenn ja was könnte helfen?
  23. I recently built a PC and don't have much experience with using fans as it is the first time I have ever done such a thing. For some reason my back fan is running at max speed and I am unable to change it through the icue software app. The fan is currently plugged into a controller along witht the other 5 fans i have. I have tried plugging it into the motherboard but the same issue remains but it loses its RGB. The fan having the issue was a separate fan (2 are part of the water cooler and 3 came with the case) so im unsure if the fan itself is fauly or if it is another issue. Any help would be appreciated.
  24. I did not seem to have an issue with installing and running the software. I do have a question about what the different temp numbers refer to. Also, Temp #11 runs from 70c to 94c at any given time. This is why I would like to know about the Representation of the widgets. Thank you. EDIT: My fan for the GPU does run all the time. It does not appear to show on this display unless there is an increase from the base idle speed which is unknown.
Comment faire? Merci
