  3. TL;DR Does AMD or Intel Ram matter? New custom built pc and for some reason the computer shop installed AMD Ram instead of Intel Ram. Figured this out after first boot XMP was not enabled. I tried to enable XMP but computer wouldn’t boot and I got error message asking to go back to last good bios. After sorting through boxes I found my memory box, specs below: Is there a way to edit XMP Profile or otherwise adjust the BIOS so I get my 6000MHz? Do I have to go back and insist on Intel ram? Is there anything else I should know if I have to go back to talk to the store? 4. I think I don't speak for myself in asking about this. Love the laptop but this AMD driver validation is a big burn, especially the customers haven't had an update in a while. Some may even wonder if it's being worked on or may return their laptop even. Corsair, when do you think the validation process will be complete? Thank you

  8. Brand new build. Issue where the USB devices keep disconnecting for 4-5 seconds every 5 min or so making it unusable! Also in iCUE 4 the Commander Pro fan hub, keyboard, mouse, AIO, RAM, lighting strips are all detected but the lighting node core which controls the RGB for the fans is NOT detected. Used 2 separate lighting node core's issue persists. Its plugged into known good USB and SATA power, nothing. 9. Hello there! Recently, after upgrading to 32GB RAM and adjusting the timings in the BIOS, I have started facing some BSODs with my PC when booting the system. I have a Ryzen 3600 with a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max (latest drivers, bios and OS updates) and I have upgraded from 2x8 RAM slots (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) to 4x8, by buying another Crucial 2x8 kit. Since I don't mean overclocking, I have left my settings on "Auto" in the BIOS (of course I have enabled the XMP) but I have noticed that the SPD timings were definitely lower than my actual settings: CL was 16 instead of 15 and I had some higher timings around as well. I have decided to fix this by manually switching my timings to the SPD ones. 1-I disabled the Gear Down mode, as it prevented me to set some timings, like CL15. 2-I manually changed my RAM timings (I also tried the 1T Command Rate). This led to some instability, so while keeping the Gear Down Mode disabled I rolled back the other settings to "Auto". Having the Gear Down Mode disabled helped the auto settings to be closer to the SPD: right now I am facing only one big difference between the SPD tRC (52) and the actual value (70), but the other timings are ok (15-17-17-35), which would be ok to me. Nonetheless, sometimes I still face BSODs when I boot up the system and I'm not sure how to handle this. I wrote to the MSI support but they suggested to use 4x8 kits instead of two different 2x8, but I hope there is a better solution around. Right now, while I'm writing this post, I have started wondering: CPUZ says that my Crucial banks on slots #1 and #2 are manufactured by SK Hynix, while the banks on the slot #3 and #4 are manufactured by Samsung. Do you think pairing the Hynix and Samsung on #1-#3 and #2-#4 may help? Or you have more or different suggestions to fix this? Thank you very much! 😄
  10. Hi all, I'm having some trouble getting iCue to recognise a newly purchased and installed H115i Pro XT RGB. The pump lights have lit up and are cycling through (what I assume) to be a standard rainbow cycle, the pump is cooling well after configuring it in my motherboard's BIOS and 2x Noctua NF-A14s I've attached to the radiator and Corsair Commander Pro are running fine. Cooling wise I'm pleased, however I cannot get iCue to recognise it in order to monitor pump speed and customise RGB. If it helps, here's my PC's spec [running latest Windows 10]: Ryzen 5 5600X Gigabyte Aorus X570I Crucial Ballistix 2x8GB 3600Mhz CL16 Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVME (TLC) [boot drive, various other drives for game and recording libraries] Corsair SF600 Platinum PSU PowerColor Red Devil Radeon RX 6700 XT Cooler Master NR200P (using vented side panel and horizontal GPU layout) Corsair Commander Pro, attached are: 2x NF-A12x15 bottom intakes, 2x NF-A14 side intakes (H115i rad) & 2x Cooler Master Sickle Flow fans exhausting up top. H115i Pro XT RGB in the USB 1 header Monitoring and controlling fan speeds and component temperature is fine through the Commander Pro in iCue. However, the H115i Pro XT RGB refuses to show up. So far I've tried: -Disbaled fast boot and XM-something hand off under USB settings in motherboard BIOS (following a post on Corsair forums), -Updated motherboard's chipset drivers to latest, -Reinstalled iCue 4 (per Corsair's clean install guide), -Installed the iCue v3.x on the H115i Pro XT RGB's product page under 'Support - Downloads', -Using USBDeview to try and locate H115i (no success, can see Commander Pro as only Corsair device), -Windows 10 Device Manager that reveals 'Corsair composite virtual device' which apparently has the latest/most optimised drivers - possibly Commander Pro? -No micro-USB cable on hand small enough to plug into the back of the motherboard to see if it's a Commander Pro compatibility issue. It would press against and possibly damage the RAM modules. Any further troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated. I have read this is a problem on AMD systems and if it requires an RMA I'd rather avoid it. Also other users who have experienced the same problem have reported plugging their case USB into the Commander Pro's USB header and pump usb directly into the motherboard has solved the issue - I'd rather avoid this due to further cable management and tinkering after squeezing the H115i into the NR200. The cooler is running seemingly fine and I'm content with performance. It would just be nice to see it in iCue and customise colour schemes - this is also why I went for the H115i over NZXT X63 (in my girlfriend's SSUPD Mesh system) and Cooler Master 280mm AIO due to already having the Commander Pro for 6 fans. At the end of the day I can't actually see the cooler behind the rad on the side bracket and am pleased with performance - lowest temps I've seen since building this sysytem, was previously using a Noctua NH-U9S which I've kept in case this AIO bricks. EDIT 1: I should mention the motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus X570I) has only 2 USB headers - 1 for case and 1 for other components. I've the NR200 front panel USB plugged into larger and Commander Pro plugged into smaller.
  11. So first of all I want to say that this is the second time I am having this issue. The first time I format my Windows SO and the speeds returned to normal : After one week where the disk was about 30% the problems returned : (I removed a lot of data and the disk is only 11% FULL so this is definitely not acceptable at all. ) After removing data the speeds changed from 200 to 400. I am on the last firmware. And I already tried a lot of fixs that were posted here for the similar issues with the Mp-600 . Do someone has some ideia how to fix this ?
  13. Hey guys! If you're curious about how to install an AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor and one of our coolers (such as the H80i v2, H100i v2, and H115i), check out this blog! If you have any questions let us know in the comments here. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/2017/august/threadripper-installation Users with our current Platinum series coolers have out of the box compatibility with systems using Threadripper since a bracket is provided. Users with PRO series coolers will need to source a separate bracket from our website: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/PC-Components/Cooling-And-Corsair-Link/Hydro-Series-H100i-PRO-H115i-PRO-H150i-PRO-TR4-Mounting-Bracket-Kit/p/CW-8960054
  14. We are trying to install an H100i v2 onto a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU mounted on a Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming mainboard. The AMD bracket supplied with the H100 does not fit. The bracket appears to be a bit wider and longer than the mounting holes in the mainboard. :(: The stock AMD cooler fits the mainboard without any issues. Is there a bracket available to use this cooler on this mainboard, or do we need to find another cooling solution? Thanks!
  15. Our partners at AMD have pulled back the curtain on the new Zen 3-based Ryzen 5000 series of desktop processors. We've put together a quick blog post with quick links to products that will be compatible at launch. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/blog/unlock-the-power-of-zen-3 From what we gather, 500-series motherboards will be compatible with a BIOS update. Also, board partners may be releasing refreshed motherboards that support the new processors out of the box. So keep an eye out for those! Certain motherboards with older chipsets may get support for the new processors through a beta BIOS release. From what they've said so far, this will be a one-way update as they will be dropping support for certain older processors in order to make space on the ROM for 5000-series CPU support. As far as cooling goes, the processors AMD announced on the 8th will not come with a box cooler (except for the Ryzen 5 5600X which will ship with a Wraith Spire). Since these processors use the AM4 socket, all current CPU liquid coolers from us will support these parts. For memory we're recommending 3200-3600MHz kits for now. This may change as more information is given. Storage will depend on your motherboard choice, but if you're on B550/X570, our MP600 is a solid PCIe 4.0 device to help you use that extra PCIe bandwidth.
  16. Hello you wonderful forum members! I know this has been discussed numerous times probably, but I can never find exactly the same scenario as my own. After tons of years, I finally decided to move from my beloved i5-3570K. It served me really well in every single task I needed it to do for me, but time has come to move on and upgrade. So, I just purchased AMD Ryzen 5 1600, and ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F motherboard. I have everything else I need (my H80i v2 with AM4 bracket among other components), and the only item that's left for me to buy... DDR4. Could some nice soul recommend what would work without any hick-ups with my CPU/MB configuration ? I just want to stress out, I am not looking into any kind of overclocking or anything like that. Even with factory speeds, this new machine will be quite faster than my old one... and believe me, there was nothing I wasn't able to do with it (3D modeling, animations, motion graphics, even some heavy gaming from time to time). I just need it to work stable without crashing or causing any kind of system/OS failure. Oh yes, I am looking to get DDR4 16Gb, possibly two RAM modules. I am quite aware that memory prices are raging at the moment, but I found couple of items on sale. These are 2666, 3000 and 3200 units currently on sale here in Canada: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?cPath=24_311&sf=%3A1%2C2%2C3%2C4_20%2C4_22%2C4_23%2C5%2C6&rebate=1 Anything in there worth spending money on, or should I wait until prices calm down a bit (who knows when though)? Thank you in advance for your assistance! EDIT: they updated that sale page since I posted last night, and added some new listings. These caught my eye, any info if they would work would be appreciated: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_311_1326&item_id=098797 http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_311_1326&item_id=090226 http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_311_1326&item_id=103816 http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_311_1326&item_id=105004
  17. I'm going to be doing a new build soon. I've been debating whether or not I should go for the ML or LL fans (I'll be going with the black ones). I know that the ML fans will push more air and are also quieter, but is it much more significant than the LL fans? I love the look of the LL fans, but I also want to make sure my build doesn't get too hot. I will be doing an SFF build with this case. I'm able to put in four of the 120 fans. It'll also have the Nitro+ 5700 XT (once it releases) and a Ryzen 3700X. Would having an ML benefit more in this case, or would it be negligible in terms of performance compared with the LL?
  18. First time here hoping someone can help me with my problems. I recently made a new build with a number of parts from Corsair. My build is: Corsair Obisidian 500d RGB SE case AMD Ryzen 3700X Gigabyte Aorus x570 Master Corsair H115i Platinum. Corsair RM750x The problems I have are with the Commander pro that came with the case and the H115i. These two are connected to the USB 2.0 ports on my MB but I cannot find them both in Device Manager or in iCue software. i have tried different setups both separately in a usb2.0 port. Also tried with the H115i in the commander pro and the Pro on the 1 of the 2.0 ports tried without success. All fans are connected to the commander pro excluding the fans of the H115i which I connected directly to the pump itself. All fans are running and so is the AIO. The RGB lighting also works on the standard rotation. I just can't find them in ICue, so I can't change them either I did read that there were problems with the USB 2.0. in combination with AMD and Corsair is this still playing is there any other way to get this working?
  19. I'm looking at buying some Vengeance LPX RAM, specifically CMK32GX4M2B3200C16. But there's no official support anywhere from any parties. Does anybody know if this will run at advertised speeds on an X570-E with a 3900X?? Thanks
  20. Hi I just purchased an ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming X motherboard which is capable of memory running at 4666+ and was wondering if ANYONE had an X570 chip-set mobo running with a Ryzen 9 3900X (or other 9 series CPU) and ANY corsair memory stable at 3866 or greater. I am looking to get two 16GB modules. If so, which modules. The memory kit is the last thing I have to buy for this new system. RGB? Honestly I could give two hoots about lighting. Yeah it looks cool, however, adds to the price a tad and doesn't in anyway of course enhance anyone's gaming performance...other than to distract oneself :) Thanks Tim ARS N9NU
  21. So, firstly I apologise if I am at all posting this in the wrong place, Newbie perks? To the point So, I have some Corsair 2400 LPX RAM, 16GB of it and recently and only recently have I started having what seems could be compatibility issues. For the last 6-8 Months the original 8 gigs of ram (2x 4GB) worked flawlessly. I then added an additional 8GB (1x 8GB) to the mix, essentially the same just instead of two modulus it was one. 2 months have now passed and I started to receive BSOD's which all error across the board within the category of Memory. I thought maybe changing the sticks around and clearing the cache would do the trick. Low and behold it did, for about a week. It started to BSOD again? Only now the same constant error is "Memory Management" I've tried running MEMTEST and a few others to which say there are errors but the system will halt and crash before I see any results. Im a little annoyed and confused at this point. Do I change the RAM, by getting two new sticks of 8GB and see if that works? As you can imagine, I'm not keen on spending out another £80+ for more if I don't need to.
