blitz8
Hello, I have a Corsair 850w Modular PS and I have been getting random re-boots in Windows 7 x64. I notice that the monitoring software that came with my EVGA x58 board is showing my +12V rail reading 12.48. Could this be the cause of the critical error (shown below) that appears in my System Log after these reboots? If so, does that mean I have a bad PS? Thanks. ERROR MESSAGE FROM SYSTEM EVENT LOG: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." Synthohol
monitoring software is unreliable, what does it read in the BIOS?
blitz8
The BIOS reads very close to the same... 12.47.
Wired
That's well within the allowed variance of 5% (11.4v to 12.6v).
