Hi All,

Ever since the last update to iCue, my headset driver is crashing and causes my PC to restart. I am getting this error in Event Report:

The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 4 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem.

Try performing a clean install of iCUE using the process in the link below:

Make sure to backup your profiles before starting the process. If this doesn't resolve the issue, I'd recommend reaching out to our support team for further troubleshooting:

Did you ever figure out the issue?

I recently built a new system an I'm currently experiencing this issue, was not an issue on my previous system.

Hi Xelion,

Have you already tried performing a clean install of iCUE? Based on your provided PC specs, I also suggest updating your BIOS here if you haven't done so already - it includes a fix of USB connectivity which may help.

Just in case anyone stumbles over this, as I've had the driver crash repeatedly for me today.

Try opening Device Manager, open the Human Interface Devices category (should be open by default with an issue icon on HID-compliant headset), delete/uninstall the HID-compliant headset, disconnect and reconnect the headset (or turn it off and back on), the entry should reappear without the issue.
