theanswer03
good morning to everybody and happy new year! so while im working in 3dsmax, in idle, like modelling etc..system randomly freeze. often times also while im streaming music on utube. as long as i can remember, never happened with 3dsmax closed or without streaming. since all my drivers are up to date, bios chipset audio windows 10.. gpu drivers(which i tryed to install and reinstall with ddu but didnt work), what i found out to what could be the fix to these crashes, is to plug instead of one cable splitted in 2x8pins, running 2 single cables for each of the gpus. what do u think about? thanks guys
Corsair Employee Corsair Notepad Posted January 3, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 3, 2020 The new RTX cards from Nvidia pull a lot more power than a single PCIe cable connection from a PSU can supply. So each power connector on your GPUs will need there very own PCIe power cable directly from the PSU in order to ensure the proper amount of power is being supplied. Vegan
To run a pair of GTX 2080 Ti cards will need at least an 850W PSU This one of the reason I have the HX1000i
