K63 won't complete firmware update 3.13

Recommended Posts

Can't complete firmware update to 3.13. Made it through the first few steps now I'm at the step shown in the image and nothing I do will make the installation continue.

Under the settings tab, firmware is shown as 3.13 and the keyboard seems to work fine. So I guess it's installed?? If I hit the abort button I get a warning that aborting will make the keyboard inoperable, so I canceled the abort... Is this just something I have to deal with seeing when I open iCUE? Thanks for any help

Hi Okkin,

Go ahead and open a ticket with support, and send them a photo of the rear of your keyboard with the ticket -- this will let them send you the proper firmware for your specific model of K63, and instructions on how to perform a manual firmware flash.

The latest version of iCue won't complete the 3.13 update for me, neither. It fails, but I was lucky to get the keyboard up and running again somehow by unplugging/plugging the USB connection several times. The K63 dongle doesn't show up in iCue as it shows with the Harpoon RGB dongle, before and after the failed update.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue right now, in fact it only operates unplugged.

Can't do the 3.13 update, wondering if you came up with a solution?

No, nobody answered. Haven‘t tried since. Don‘t want to brick it. It‘s a shame.
