k70 rgb LED Malfunctions

I have had my keyboard for 2 months today and have just noticed that my 'Y' key was dimmer than the other keys. The LED's for the Y key no longer work correctly, they will not produce any white light, (it turns green), colours (when they 'work') are now dimmer and clearly not so good. This is very disturbing as the keyboard is only 2 months old and the LED's are supposed to last for years at a minimum - so I am hoping that it is not the LED that is broken, but rather software. But I believe the LED to be at fault.

 

I have been on the forums quite a bit as I have experienced very many problems with the K70 RGB and this is just another reason for me to regret purchasing this $400 keyboard - my experience of this keyboard is an experience someone would expect to have with a second-hand $10 keyboard, not a brand-new $400 keyboard.

You can see that the purple is coming out dimmer

 

Hopefully someone can get back to me and confirm the state of my LED or have a similar issue.

That seems indeed like a hardware issue. If you open a ticket and ask for RMA they will replace it for you most likely.
