Hello guys.

I want to update my firmware on my Corsair Force 3 SSD HD. But when I go into BIOS to change from IDE-> ACHI on controller mode, my windows fails to boot up, and I get a blue screen before windows can start EVERY TIME!

Please, can somebody help me ?

Thanks for all the answers.

On the other hand you can't update your firmware whilst using the drive as your boot drive. So either way you will fail unless you are using that drive as a non boot drive.

This is incorrect. You can update the drive when it is being used as the boot drive.

There are sticky posts here on how to switch the operating system from IDE to AHCI.
