Default How to Preserve Synthetic Leather of Vengeance Headset?

The part that goes over the head (band, right in the middle) began to peel because of oil and stretching or whatnot in the older versions of headphones. Is there a way to make them last longer?

maybe mink oil, my baseball glove is 10 years old and no cracks. possibly even WD-40. but thats what i would try because i have both.
