k70 lux rgb Problem with K70 LUX RGB (MX Brown)

I got this keyboard on Christmas so I'm not sure if it's an issue with the keyboard or CUE or my PC.

 

I have 2 main problems right now, the keyboard works fine however it seems to randomly disconnect every now and again which is frustrating in Counter-Strike. (I can tell it's disconnecting by the Windows 10 connect/disconnect sounds)

 

My other issue is that the RGB lighting sometimes just completely fails after I press a key on my keyboard. The only way of fixing it is to replug the keyboard and the lighting seems to work fine. Bear in mind that the keyboard still functions. And in CUE is does say the keyboard is "malfunctioning" and it's only fixed when I replug the keyboard.

 

I've tried doing a firmware reflash but every time I do it, the keyboard lighting just stops and CUE doesn't detect the keyboard until I plug it in again. I'm extremely frustrated and I don't know what to do. I've tried different USB ports, different computers but this issue seems to occur. I don't know what to do.

Try plugging the keyboard into another USB port, depending on the controller used for it the issue might go away. Try plugging it into an Intel USB port, as media ports are known for causing issues as an example.

If the same problem occurs on a completely different computer with or w/o cue installed it sounds like a bum keyboard, time to RMA :(
