Near the bottom of the label I believe. It will start with 11 (e.g. 1124, 1125, 1126).

Front label right below the bar code is the Serial number:
SN:1124...............

If you are still unable to locate it I would suggest taking it to a local computer shop for assistance.

Here's a sample pic:

You only need to verify by the first 4 digits. 1123 and after are OK.

I managed to squeeze my head under and saw some numbers starting with 1124. I bought the computer on June 21st but it wasnt assembled until July 5th or so, it looks like my SSD is one of the post-recall SSD's luckily.

I'm still having issues however and wondering where can I go from here?

The random BSOD may not be your fault. Seems that even after the RMA there are a few issues with these. I have a similar motherboard the Z68X-UD3BH-B3 with updated firm.

See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/show...232#post510232

When the drivers for the marvel card are installed they do NOT appear under the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, instead they appear under Storage controllers nearer the bottom.

To find this right click on MY COMPUTER.. then select MANAGE.. once in there go to DEVICE MANAGER.. The drivers can be found on the Gigabyte www however I initially thought it was drivers so updated to even newer ones and it still has the same issue. I thought it was my fault until i came was looking up the drive on google for a friend and BSOD popped up next to it. All the same symptoms as listed in the posted thread. Waiting till the end of the week before i return it for a different brand, probibly the 510 made by the CPU company (sorry, limited time on exchange/ returns at the store i bought it at so if it isnt fixed soon I have to return or be stuck with a possible RMA, which i dont have time for)

It seems that by default it has Microsoft drivers from 2006... Is there a Gigabyte driver I should be updating it to somehow?

If you look up my motherboard drivers it has the marvel ones. For some reason yours does not list the marvel drivers on the gigabyte www. Marvel drivers below. make sure your system has the marvel first.

Yeah I tried installing an intel driver but I'm not quite sure what I'm doing and it doesn't seem like they were drivers specifically for the SSD.

This is the latest Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver:

v10.6.0.1022 (First download)

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...ivers&lang=eng

The board you claim your system has does not have a Marvell controller.

You also claimed you bought the drive aftermarket as an upgrade for your system, who installed it?

These are not claims, don't treat me like a Luddite. I have a VAST knowledge of computer parts I just do not build computers, I purchase them. By aftermarket I mean simply I bought it as a part of my computer I didn't buy it from Corsair directly and install it myself. Cyberpowerpc installed the entire computer including this drive.

Then they should have installed all the drivers, what is the model number?

They didn't because it did not come with Windows 7 pre installed. I've installed all drivers and software as well as Windows myself.

Thats my official order receipt.

This should be the board installed then:

The white SATA ports are the Intel SATAIII, the only way to really check to see if the drive is installed on one, other than looking, would be to run the ATTO benchmark and see what kind of performance you recieve, the F120GB3 is suppose to reach around 510MB/s Write and 550MB/s Read, though these numbers will vary based on system, but should roughly be around there.

Download and install that IRST driver I linked you, also make sure the drive is running in AHCI.

ATTO Benchmark : http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...k%20v2.46.html

It should also be noted that these drives have issues with some systems, and that Corsair is currently working on a fix.

That board does not have the Marvel chip. Checked the manual even. Believe it would just be the Intel drivers, and those you can get from Intels www if the GB www is old.
