LittleMikey
Hi guys, I was reading in a few other threads that people with this problem were able to go into their BIOS and turn USB charging off. However I have an Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard and for the life of me I can't figure out how to change this. Does anyone else have this motherboard? There is a setting for USB 3.0 Smart Charging which I've tried to turn on and off but neither one makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated! Vuhadzu
Have you updated to the latest firmware? It's meant to fix this specific issue - it has for me and lots of others.

SBStratus
Go into your BIOS settings>Advanced>APM>ErP Ready, and enable it. I have an Maximus VI Extreme so it should function about the same.

Hopefully my computer doesn't explode as a result. Have you updated to the latest firmware? It's meant to fix this specific issue - it has for me and lots of others. I actually just downloaded the latest firmware but haven't turned off my computer yet. Fingers crossed it works!
