H115i Platinum Over Reading Coolant Temp?

Hi

I have a H115i Platinum and on a few occasions while using PC (sometimes gaming, but sometimes under light load) I hear the fans spin up really loud.

Checking in iCUE shows that my coolant temps are high but it just suddenly jumps up. I have turned off RGB and it seemed to help but is doing it again.

The CPU temp is reading lower than the coolant so I can only think that it is misreading the coolant temp?

Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this?

I would contact Support. This was a past issue that affected some Platinum owners and not others. The temp rise is illusory, but a nuisance nevertheless because the fans can't tell the difference. Most users report a spike on initiating full white. There seems to be a connection and likely the temp sensor is too close to the LED ring. Maybe a firmware flash fixes it. Maybe it has to be a hardware change.
