Default DOA memory from RMA

Ticket: 6665895

TL;DR: The replacement RAM is DOA.

I RMA'd 2 kits of ram, received two kits back, one of which fails memtest consistently.

Now I'm asked to send it back, which is expected, but Corsair CS says I am responsible for shipping. Why can't you cover shipping back DOA memory since it was your fault in the first place.

I sent the memory myself when I RMA'd it the first time, and now I have to pay again because Corsair didn't fully test the replacement? What if the new replacement is bad again.

Do not make customer pay for something that is not a customer's fault. It's not like the memory died after a while, the memory was DOA from the beginning.

Sorry to hear that your replacement didn't work out.

Regarding your shipping arrangement, I'll try to work it out with our customer service since this is going to be your 2nd RMA. I am sure that we can sort it all out.

We'll provide you an update in your ticket.

The replacement RAM has arrived, and preliminary tests show the new kit is problem free.
