Default Corsair Air 540 HDD slots

Is there a way to change out the SSD slots and make them bigger to fit 3.5 HDD? I want to add more HDDs then the 2 spots that are provided.

No direct swap from Corsair as far as I know. However, you do have the space to remove the small plastic rack and use a 3rd party mounting enclosure. Be aware it does get slightly warm back there and you won't have any direct cooling. You could mount a 80/92mm fan or similar to the back, but you will still get some local heat coming from the PSU directly below. Thinking back to others who have done this, drive temp has been the largest concern, especially when using more than 1 in a sandwich. That makes the enclosure type/construction fairly critical.
