vulcan4d
I had too much time on my hands, and by that I am being sarcastic, and decided to flash my old Corsair Force Series 115GB SSD from fw2.1A to fw2.4 since it is the latest. BIG mistake and I have no idea what the drive is doing. The best explanation I can give is that it lags or freezes. PC applications would start crashing or not loading, windows would crash too. Formatting and reinstalling Windows 8 did not work. Takes 20 times longer to format than it should, windows supposedly installs and then it cant boot. The drive is not reading properly and I am in desperate need to revert back to fw2.1A. I don't see this file here aside from fw2.0. Can anyone help please? Thank you. Toasted
By format, did you secure erase the SSD? If you did not secure erase it. Try it and see if that helps. Latest BIOS? Have you tried a different SATA data port?
vulcan4d
Hello, thank you for replying. Yes I tried all the sata ports and doing a full secure format. I also used a linux bootcd to delete the file system and start from scratch. I also noticed that the drive disappears when the computer boots. Something is definitely wonky after the fw flash to 2.
Toasted
Put in a support ticket and ask if they can provide you a link to download the older firmware or have any possible suggestions which may resolve the issue.
