I would say it's triggered by AIDA64 and caused by the rather poor CL4 design and implementation. I suspect the root cause may well be Corsair failing to correctly implement the lock, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=851701.

Have you disabled the Asetek LC + Corsair Link hardware reporting in AIDA64? If not then doing this may circumvent the issue.

I suspect you have an old version. Get the latest AIDA64 Beta.

You need to disable rather than enable them.

It's better to use .PNG for screen shots as they give smaller files and crisper images.

To me it looks like CL4 is getting stuck rather than crashing.

The RM650i PSU values are rubbish. Are they like this when AIDA64 is not active?

With just AIDA64 active what does it report on the Sensor screen?

What happens if you run CL4 and my SIV utility at the same time? What do Menu->Tools->Link Status + Menu->Tools->Link Power report?

Yes, I suspect so, but that only looks to be possible with the Beta.

Having done this exit and restart it and with just AIDA64 active what does it report on the Sensor screen? Are there any CL devices still there? If you are not sure post the screen shot.

In your PC specs Operating System (64 bit) is not enough info, you should add the Windows version and build number.

I suspect there is a bug in AIDA64, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=852308

Since upgrading to the latest release, I now have a 'MB Fan' showing... Any idea how I can isolate which fan this is?

FYI... Running H100iGTX

Default Corsair Commander Mini LED access

I was wondering Red-ray is it possible for the commander mini to set per led values on it's led strips? It would be cool to program rainbow effects this way like the NZXT strips / hardware do. I am just curious if the commander mini hardware allows more than what their software is utilizing...

Thumbs down Time to contact the AIDA64 developers?

I expect I now know why AIDA64 is triggering the CL4 lockup/crash. Looking at the above all the Current Values are from your RM650i and given you have disabled Corsair Link access then AIDA64 should not be displaying them along with all the other RM650i values. You should report it as a bug via https://forums.aida64.com/ then reply to this post with a link to that post.

You should throw rocks at the CL4 developers as they are the root cause of these issues . If they implement support for the lock I specified all these issues would not exist, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=851701.

The fact that SIV can report the CL hardware at the same time CL4 is down to me having code in SIV that effectively jumps through hoops backwards with one arm tried behind it's back. If only the CL4 developers understood how locking should be used as well as the AIDA64, HWiNFO and SIV developers .

The world has changed, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=853939 and then get the latest AIDA64 v5.70.3853 or later

Sigh.. You need to ask Corsair how their hardware works rather than me

  1. You need to ask Corsair how their hardware works rather than me
  2. Corsair have declined to give me access to the full NDA CLCC datasheet
  3. SIV supports all I know about the CLCC. Can you do what you wish using the [Link LEDs] panel?
  4. I do hot have NZXT strips so do not know what rainbow effects look like
  5. Are these different to 2-way/4-way cycling colours?
  6. See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120092 for the CLCC register information
