Baio
Hi there, Is there any trouble using 3 Noctua Industrial 3000rpm fans connected to the AIO?. I can remember someone writing there could be incompatiblities with the CoPro, but what about the AIO? Thanks Baio
c-attack
You are likely to have difficulties. There is also no reason to use them. You won't eek out any more performance from a radiator that thickness/density at those speeds. https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=193421
Baio
Thanks, so your advice is to use the fans that came with the AIO? Consider I keep them @ minimum speed, no OC. Baio
c-attack
I don't think you will find any performance difference between a ML120 and NF-F12 of any flavor. The industrial 2000 or 3000 rpm version only has a statistical advantage when you are running at speeds faster than ~1600 rpm limit on the ML-Quiet fans that come with the H150i. That would be the equivalent of the NF-F12 Chromax. You really shouldn't need much more than that for fan speed. If you did or wanted a "black fan" for decorative purposes, the ML120 Pro (black) and F12 Industrial 2000 PWM version are effectively identical. But again, these fans would only have further performance value when running between 1600-2000 rpm. I don't need that kind of fan speed with 500W+ in my dual 360mm system. You won't come anywhere close to that figure with the 3700X, no matter how you set your clocks.
