tempranillo
I have installed Windows 7 SP1 on my DELL Precision 6400 CAD-Laptop. SATA-Mode switched from Raid to ACPI. The Force 3 was the only HD. I don't shut down the Laptop while installing and configuring Windows and Programs for 2 days. Then I shut down and took it out of the docking station. After 1 Hour I switched the notebook on again - "Drive 0 not found Error no bootdevice". I tried everything even plugged the SSD to a differnt notebook via USB, but the SDD still remains dead. That's it. The Force 3 was delivered with Firmware 1.3.3 It seems to me that these SSD's (chip type oder controller type) are far away from running stable. I have another new Force 3 which I will try tomorrow. Any tips how I can avoid that this will happen again ?
Toasted
-Did the docking station still have power when you shutdown the notebook and removed the SSD? -Turn off Write caching on the SSD. or try eject media device or drive in Windows.
