Vegan
I use a TX850V2 with a single uppity video card. My PSU has not been a problem. I have seen remarks about double ball bearing fans, I own lots of them and none of them are a problem. My PSU has one installed and it has not been a problem either. I have a thermometer taped to the PSU case and on warm summer days it can reach 37-40C on the case. This suggests inside the PSU its even warmer. I am using the 300R chassis and its loaded with fans to move air quickly. So I am looking at the RM series, and they are rated at only 40C, I wonder how long it would last in my rig in the summer. Now the more expensive AXi models are more efficient and are less likely to overheat So I was wondering, would the RM series fail in my rig? Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted July 4, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 4, 2015 What are your room temperatures and the temperature of the ambient air near the PSU (not the temperature of the housing)?
