will throw a RGB diagram up a little later to show how i achieved the 9 fans and indeed have the H150i Powering all 6 of its fans without using any PWM splitters aswell as having all 6 easily sync speeds/curves

Just received my 570X mirror black and h150i cooler with 6 QL fans arriving in a few days and I had the same push/pull aspirations with no idea of how to wire it up. Are you still planning on posting a diagram or is this post all I need?

Hey buddy.. will get Xmas morning out the way and then knock up a diagram for you ;).

but for now...

i used one of these on the H150i

https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/PC-Components/Cases/Carbide-678C-6-port-PWM-Repeater/p/CC-8900355

this allowed me to connect all 6 radiator fans to one header on the H150i and control them as one single fan in iCUE

edit: added an instant-email notification to myself for this thread :)

Thanks for the reply! OK, I've now got this added to my cart. As soon as I read and comprehend your full setup I'll buy whatever I need from corsair/amazon in the US. Right now I have a brand new h150i and brand new 9 x 120mm QL fans. The only hubs and connectors I have is whatever came with my new black mirror case, these 9 fans, and this rad. Do I need a commander pro also?

Yup, got the Commander Pro on the way from Amazon, i ordered it a few hours ago after deducting from your 570X build guide that it's necessary. Hope I'm not missing anything else.

My advice is get the Commander Pro.. its the heart of the system buddy.. not had chance to make a diagram yet a we have had a full house of festive family lol

Thanks so much! I'll assemble it all tonight!

1) Do the purple USB lines from the 2 lightning pros connect to the 2 USB ports on the Commander Pro?

2) I don't have the repeater yet. Can I get the same functionality as you without the repeater or in the meantime I can just get them, the 3 "left" fans, running by plugging into commander pro? This might make more sense once I start assembling and reread your guide.

hows this work for you buddy?

now.. you can do it without the repeater hub... just connect the other 3 fans to the commander pro for power....

you could run 6 fans off the commander pro and 3 off of the h150i yes.. technically thats the correct way to do it.. but does mean syncing fans speeds is done in 2 different sections of icue for fans on the front and the back of the rad.. where as by using the repeater hub you control all 6 rad fans via the h150's performance tab in icue., they all appear as a single fan.. set speed/curve.. job done

Zotty, why would you do this; the QL fans look fantastic! Anyway, fans aside (I really am trying to ignore how good they look), what vertical GPU support bracket are you using?

lol. sorry man... hahaha!.. you know you wanna! :)

Hey Zotty, since you posted this guide and my using it I've come across some new issues. Whichever device you plug your repeater into does the fan RPM of the repeater always show 0RPM? Despite it showing 0 RPM are you able to manipulate the fan speed dynamically through iCUE using quiet, balanced, extreme, zero rpm?

Also do you ever have issues in iCUE where a fan you've set to "QUIET" goes AWOL and is stuck on high-speed?

Basically what are your known downsides of these chaining setups you have?

hey buddy...

no it should report the fan speed and you should be able to control it in iCUE buddy....

What repeater did you get?

Zotty, sorry I missed your reply. I have 2 of the 678c carbide repeaters that you had suggested. Since asking you here I unplugged and replugged everything, perhaps in a different configuration without realizing, and things seem better. Currently I have 10 QL fans running but zero temp, USB, LED, of FAN terminals occupied on the commander pro. I won't be able to avoid it for the final version of the build but I suspect if I plug some fans into CPRO again it'll act funny. Currently despite nothing connected to it there is a phantom FAN1 3300rpm and FAN2 0rpm that comes and goes.
