Can an AX1600 power two systems in a 1000d?

Hey guys,

Starting a build with a z370 mITX board and a hopefully z390 board in the near future and wanted to avoid having to deal with dual PSU's. Both systems will have a single vid card, a 1080 and 1180 when they emerge.

Will this work?

Thanks!

I feel stupid now, that makes too much sense. Ok, so second PSU it is.

So if I used a Corsair SF600 for the ITX build, would it be too much to ask of this unit to push a coffee lake cup on turbo, a 1080, a z370 board with a single SSD connected, and possibly a pump/fans for the WC loop? Maybe I should do one huge loop to cool both systems.... but then that would have to be on for the ITX system to be on, so I can't do that... bah... this is going to be hard.

There are lots of options out there besides this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-E-6pin-Input-DC-ATX-250W-24pin-Power-Supply-Module-Swithc-Pico-PSU-Car-Auto-/323094106829

But look for versions of these pico power supplies that have a PCI-E input.

You could then put totally power the z370 with the ax1600i and use one spare PCI-E cable to power the Pico PSU (which includes the other mobo plug as well).
