Specter
I would like to buy the lighting node to connect to my H80i but I noticed it only comes with 3 strips. One cannot purchase additional strips alone making customers buy another lighting node to get additional strips! Currently I have a NZXT 2 meter led strip in the case and I am able to route that led strip around the entire top of the case, down the front and along the bottom lighting up my entire case. I would like to replace all 2 meters with the lighting node and connect it to my H80i but not when it only comes with 3 strips and no indication of how long is each strip. When will Corsair allow customers to buy additional strips without buying another node? Also can this node be connected directly to the H80i without consequences? ( I ask this because the cooling node can be connected to the I series coolers but will not work with PWM fans unless the firmware is updated. The only way to update the firmware is to connect the cooling node to the commander unit, making customers buy the commander unit bundle!)
wytnyt
unfortunately they arent sold separately ...
efstajas
I would also love that, and maybe also the lighting cables. They are very short for neat and tidy cable runs.
wytnyt
yeah many are also waiting but didnt you get extension cables with your light node?
Specter
This needs to be addressed! Customers need to have the ability to buy more strips without buying a whole duplicate product. What is the point of advertising that someone can connect 32 strips per channel if they do not sell the strips by themselves! Who in their right mind will pay another $30 just for 3 more strips when they can easily buy a NZXT Hue that comes with 3X the LEDs.
efstajas
yeah many are also waiting but didnt you get extension cables with your light node? I got 3 LED strips and 3 (really short) cables with my lighting node. You can stick all of these components together. I have a 900D, and running the cables in a tidy manner is really complicated. You need to have the Lighting node in the exact right position so that the cables are long enough, and I had to redo my cable management only because of that. danrlewis
This is pretty insane at this point. The support for this product is nearly nonexistent. My Corsair Link software resets the case LEDs every time it sleeps or reboots, but remembers the H100i LED color just fine. Getting sick of all these bugs, and if it weren't for the HUE being out of stock nearly everywhere, I'd pick that up instead.
DxTrEm3Fx
So does anyone know where to buy connectors like the ones that come on the LED strips? I have bought 16' of RGB LED's from Amazon pretty cheap. Now I just have to figure out how to connect it to my lighting kit. I could just remove the connectors from the LED's themselves. http://dxfxhouse.com/images/HG2/led1.jpg http://dxfxhouse.com/images/HG2/led2.jpg
GrahamB
Been trying to find that out myself to try my own lighting strips out, 4 pin 2mm pitch
wa3pnt
I gave up. Used some 4 LED ribbon cable to route from the LEDs to the end of the OEM Cable. Removed the pins from the OEM Connector (just push the retainer and the pins release) and soldered the ribbon cable to the pins using heat shrink tubing on each wire. Should ever desire to restore the OEM Cable, it's just a matter of inserting the pins back into the plastic connector. These Connectors look close, but not sure they'd work: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Set-4-PIN-RGB-Connector-Wire-Cable-For-3528-5050-SMD-LED-Strip-Male-and-Female-/370685274921?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Lighting_Parts&hash=item564e906b29 Update. Here's the connector manufacturer page, BUT the minimum order is 100000. LOL It's a start. http://www.szchangjiang.diytrade.com/sdp/87939/4/pd-937432/7460990-1449001/A2547_70066_70107_70543_70545_103638_103634_2_54mm.html RodeoGeorge

GrahamB
it says it is but unfortunately...it isnt I agree, but this is the sales description Corsair uses to sell the cooling and lighting kit, and it's still there! It was what I used when deciding to buy. So if you have the correct contact please ask them to get it removed, or better still to add the strips as a separate product. I highly doubt they will sell standalone strips and if they do decide to sell them separately they will be so expensive that it will defeat the purpose like 3 strips for $19.99. Which brings us back to the NZXT Hue which is about 25 LEDs for $
peanutz94
The HUE is a neat solution. Personally i wish they would have done something software controlled VS having a RGB bay controller though..
