slingshot
Hi, I'm currently building a new pc system. I applied my own thermal paste to the CPU (Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut). Looking at another thread here I've just realized that I've forgotten to clean the preapplied thermal paste on the H150i. Should I remove the paste again or do they work together in conjunction? As the Kryonaut is (seemingly) the higher-end paste it would probably be the best to remove both of the applied pastes and reapply Kryonaut - correct? DevBiker
For best performance, you should completely clean and reapply the Kryonaut. Contrary to what The Verge says, mixing thermal paste is not a good thing.
slingshot
Thank you! I managed to do so yesterday, using isopropyl alcohol. The CPU runs at 25° when idle - a value I'm really happy with.
