I upgraded the driver to the link and one of my case fans was up to 3000 rpm, and all fans were working way too hard. After research and inspection I installed iCUE, which I had never had and the fan issue magically disappeared. Any other fan issues I need to know about?

Link or iCUE do not control your case fans, unless you are using the Commander Pro fan controller. Since you didn’t mention it specifically, I assume you are not.
If your case fans are connected to the motherboard, then this is BIOS regulated. Not common to see glitches at that level, but I’ve certainly had Asus boards (including X99s) that would do this now and again. If you’re using AI Suite, well then you know where to look. |
