Very quick question can you turn off the lighting on the H150i Pro? I don't really want RGB for a build i am going to make.

Sort of... you can set a RGB value of 0,0,0 for black and that will work when the software is up and running (iCUE). However, killing the software is likely to bring rainbows. You can save the black color to device memory. While this does work better than before, there are still several conditions (restart, close software) where the device ignores its lighting commands and reverts to that default rainbow. The pump is a fairly minor LED, so this a larger problem with more obvious devices like fans. The standard fans on the H150 are grey and not RGB.
