HX850 compatibility with new build

I have a Corsair HX850 (circa 2012) that I pulled from an LGA 1155 build. I presently am building a new system around an Asrock Z390 Gaming MB with i9 9900k , 2080ti, etc. Two questions here: 1) Will the connectors still be compatible with the motherboard, specifically the 24 pin connector and 2) since the PSU is 8 years old and has been run 18 hours a day, 7 days a week should I risk using it in a new build or buy a new one such as the RM750X? AFAIK, the HX850 has always run perfect with no noise or issues of any kind.

The standard still has not changed so yes it will work. Though that specific PSU is going to be outside of its 7 year warranty so you may want to look at getting a new power supply as a way of protecting the investment in new hardware you are purchasing.

Thanks for all the replies. I agree and am going to use a new power supply in my new build. I'll keep the HX850 for troubleshooting.
