Default Found the fix!

I know this is an old thread, but maybe someone else like me is out there that decided to dust off their non-working SP2200's and try to make them work.

After tearing the sp2200 totally apart and testing practically every circuit, I discovered a voltage leakage in the 13 pin DIN connector on the cable going to the right speaker. The 17 volt power pin is right next to the left speaker wire. I was getting anywhere from 4-14 volts throughout the left channel circuit.

My fix was to remove the left channel pin on the DIN connector. Solder a new wire at DIN connection on sub-woofer pcb. Pass that wire through hole I drilled in mounting plate. Cut into DIN cable, locate left channel wire (brown on mine), cut brown wire and solder it to my new wire. Once I did that my speakers sound great.

After years sitting in my attic, I can finally enjoy these speakers.
