Default Psu Prurchase

Hey guys i hope someone here can help me out i just purchased 2 MSI 980ti 6GB and i was looking to purchase the Corsair AX 1200i PSU, can this power supply handle these two cards with no problem? the reason why i ask is because i have a Antec HCP 1000 and with the 2 cards it always ends up shutting down my pc especially while playing the division. so i was thinking about buying a new psu hoping that this would help me out and stop the crazy shut downs but am afraid to spend the money and am going to regret it.
i appreciate any information you can offer.

thank you

the 1200 psu can handle these 2 cards with ease, nothing more to add as this psu stands for it all.

  1. I would expect the HCP 1000 big enough as with I checked using http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator it came up with 718 W.
  2. I guess the HCP 1000 may be faulty, though the shutdown could be due to some other issue.
  3. An AX1200i will provide more than enough power.
