hand3z
Hello, I purchased a Corsair TX850W about 4 months ago for my first build. Everything seemed to be working just fine, except I happened to notice that the BIOS was showing a low +5V reading of 4.46V and it was highlighted in red. I used a multimeter on one of the free Molex connectors and got a reading of 4.48V, which was still pretty close. My system seems to be very stable. Is the low reading something that I should be worried about? What's an acceptable threshold for the +5V reading? My BIOS and HWMonitor readings are attached. Thanks, Jason
Wired
5% variance. RMA the PSU.
hand3z
I submitted an RMA request for the PSU. If the PSU were to remain in my system with the low +5V, would it increase the risk of damage or instability? Just curious because I haven't experienced any problems thus far. Synthohol
best to RMA it and not risk stability.
hand3z
Corsair completed my RMA request and I received a new one about a week and half later. All voltages are looking good now!
