Default Just a little confused

I was wondering is I can plug my lighting node core into my usb expanders on my commander pro if I just insert it the motherboard connector into the port. Or do I need to find a motherboard USB port splitter?

Should work fine on the CoPro. Those USB ports are passed through from its mobo connector with no degradation of any signal (that I am aware of) - so you should be good to go with that approach.
