Kavaar Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Hi, i have weird problem. Recently my brother gave me his "old" computer parts, including two CMX16GX3M2A1333C9 8gb RAM sticks. I pluged them into my computer which is : MSI 970 gaming and Amd fx 8350. Now i have BSODs in windows, CTDs in games and hundreds of errors in memtest(most of them in test 7). MSI site says that this memory was tested with my MOBO and its ok. I checked them in my older GA-880GMA-UD2H + Phenom II x4 965 3,4 ghz and again, hundreds of errors in memtest, but from my brother i also got his ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO Z87 s.1150 ROG + Intel Core i3-4330 3,5 GHz 4MB cache so i checked them there and wow, 0 errors and everything is fine. So the RAM is fine but it just hates my MOBO. I have no idea what is going on. I updated my bios and raised RAM and North bridge voltage but it changes nothing. I also copied the bios ram settings from maximus vi to my 970 gaming but again, no effect. Oh and one more thing, both GA-880GMA-UD2H and 970 gaming works fine with other RAM. What is going on?
