polypusher
So I'm putting together all the parts for my hydro x cooled 3900x system and to get things going until everything comes in I got the ML 120 kit and a commander pro. Everything is hooked up and working on air right now and I am controlling the ML fans with Icue. I have noticed that the ML fans have a whine to them if they go above 600 rpm. It is a high pitched whine and all three of them are making that noise. This is not wind noise. the whine gets louder as I ramp up the rpm's does the wind noise (but the wind noise does not bother me) Is this normal for these fans to whine as the rpm goes up? It is a noise this really bothersome, never heard that from a fan before. Are mine faulty?
Corsair Mike
I would double check that the Commander Pro has its fan ports in PWM mode. You can find that in iCUE under settings for the Commander Pro. If that doesn't fix it then I would reach out to customer support at support.corsair.com

gycon
I would double check that the Commander Pro has its fan ports in PWM mode. Maybe look into the production and QC to save people the trouble? I've just bought 4 fans and 3 of them make their own unique noise that weren't in the brochure. The 4th didn't even have a chance, the poor lil' feller was stillborn :[pouts:
