amebb
Hi there I have a client who we have sold a USB 32gb Voyager Memory stick. The thing is that we are trying to format the device and it will not allow us to do that. It is being recognised in windows xp (sp3) and other OS's BUT it wont let us format it. I have tried several programs but they all dont work. IS there a peice of software that can low level format the usb mem stick so we can then format it to its full capacity etc ?? The device is ONLY 3 months old.... NEED help or advice asap Thanks
Toasted
Try use a Linux based driver eraser like Parted Magic. If it didn't work, Request an RMA to get the drive replaced.

amebb
Thanks for the reply. Its not a format issue that we have here. I have tried various programs to format the mem stick BUT they cant format the usb drive or they cant see it as active. You can see the drive in MMC or explore. BUT, you cant get access to it. I want to know if theer is software out there that will low level format the usb drive. Then we can think about normal FAT32 format. Like i said , i have tried several programs and they are mostly geared towards the formatting option when in reality i dont need that yet. Can you advise me on anything ....??? By the way, i have had a look at the drive and its in RAW format instead of fat32 etc.... Thanks
