popica
Hi, I have a Corsair Carbide 200R Case, and I think i got a problem. My two WD Black are vibrating inside HDD cage. The question is, can I replace 200R's HDD Cage with 350D Single HDD Cage with 2x Tray? 200R Case: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-200r-compact-atx-case Original 200R HDD Case: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-200r-hdd-ssd-cage 350D HDD Case: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/350d-single-hdd-cage-with-2x-tray I don't wont a precise mount, but I wonder can I fit it somehow? Thanks in advance.
Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted July 6, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 6, 2015 Unfortunately you can only use the 200R's HDD cage with the 200R.
popica
I found what was vibrating: it was the plastic front cover! I removed it and now it's ok. Has anyone any ideea how to harden the front cover? Because I have to put it back:)
popica
I finally solved the problem. I bought an HDD adaptor from 3.5'' to 5.25'' http://www.shop4pc.ro/adaptor-sharkoon-de-la-525-inch-la-3525-inch-hddssd-culoare-neagra-p-38902.html and I mounted the large HDD (WD Black 1 TB) under DVD ROM. It was a spectacular result, I've lost all the vibrations. Cheap and effective solution, it cost more the delivery than the adaptor :) It is clear that this HDD Cage got a problem. Un uninspired solution from Corsair that plastic support, I am thinking to replace it, but must find with wkat and how to.
