Hi there, i bought ram

unplugged computer power and usb's

removed old 2x4g ddr4

removed cmos battery 5 mins

installed new corsair vengeance rgb pro ram

installed battery

plugged in power

turn on.

problem is, computer pretends to start up 10 seconds or so, then reboots, another 10 seconds, reboots, I feel this could go on all day, also no response from the monitor at all, orange light at all times.

ram is seating properly, put old ram back in, all good there.

Maybe it needs forced amnesia to make it rethink its memory config - CMOS Clear button?

Then have another drink while it reboots a couple of times :-)
