Default XC9 on 1151

I get that the XC9 "will not fit an 1151 socket". But I wonder, is that just because it doesn't a come with a proper mounting bracket? If I have a H100i-v2, could I use the mounting bracket from that (or any other Asetek based water cooler) to get the XC9 to fit?

No, you cannot use the Asetek brackets with the XC9. Completely, totally different.
And AFAIK, it is because that don't do the bracket with it.
