Stealth p90 Posted August 8, 2015 Share Posted August 8, 2015 Hello every one, I recently received my new H80I GT and from the beginning it has been making a slight grinding noise. I have been doing some looking and it seems that this can be caused by your power supply providing to high of a voltage to the pump. Because of this I then check the voltage that my PSU was providing and it is 12.12V this reading was taken with a multi meter and not from the BIOS much more accurate that way. My main question if this slight voltage variance is causing the noise will the unit be damaged over the long term because of it? Also I have run into one other problem in that when I turn the pump down to silent mode the grinding noise gets 3 to 4 times louder. There for I have been running it in performance mode, and when in this mode I cant actually hear the pump until I get within about 1 foot of the case. So the noise really isn't the problem it is the longevity of the pump.
