mole
Hi, cat anyone give me an idea which Corsair psu are "really quiet"? It is not obvious to me that a lower-watt one (like vx450) has to be more silent than a higher-watt one (like hx750). Let's assume that the components would require only 200 - 400 (peak) watts. Thanks in advance...
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 28, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 28, 2009 By looking at the graphs below, the 450VX should be a quieter PSU, that is if the system DO NOT consume more than 400watts. http://corsair.com/_images/charts/vx450w_noise.jpg http://corsair.com/_images/charts/tx750w_noise.jpg
mole
So VX450 and TX750 are the most quiet Corsair-psu available?
raisethe3
My TX650 is really quiet. Can't even hear a sound when placing my ear next to it. So VX450 and TX750 are the most quiet Corsair-psu available?
JoeBob
I would tend to agree, the TX650 is probably the quietest Corsair I've used. Running it alongside a HX620, the latter was somewhat noisier than the 650. And the 620 is considered a quiet PSU to start with. I've never used a VX450 though.
