zejjs Posted July 21, 2020 Share Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) I've been using my CX 850M for half a year now with no issues, and today started making a loud crackling noises under heavy load. Here's a recording. I didn't see any sparks inside the PSU case, it doesn't smell off either, then again I've never let it crackle for more than 30s at a time. The noise disappears the instant the heavy load app (Monster Hunter in this case) is switched off, as you can hear towards the end of the recording. Should I just RMA the PSU?
