_Edge_ Posted August 22, 2009 Share Posted August 22, 2009 I just built a new system for my wife (indicated in profile) and all was well until the system shutdown and then refused to post. The system ran well for about an hour, OS was successfully installed but did not get a chance to install the drivers yet. There is standby power to the motherboard but the PSU does not turn ON. I tried manually running a couple of fans by shorting the ATX switch wire (green wire) to ground but nothing happens. Any suggestions short of sending it back? PS. I have always purchased <other manufacturer> PSUs and never had a bad one, for the first time many years of building PCs I decided to try something different.
