DootjuhNL
Hi Guys, I need a little help to finish my RGB cable. I want to create a cabel with at one side the 3 pin corsair connector and at the other side the universal 3/4 pin rgb connector. I want to use this cable to control the RGB of my GPU with the use of my commander pro. So i want to create this cable: https://www.moddiy.com/products/Corsair-LED-RGB-3-Pin-to-5v-RGB-3-Pin-Female-Connector-Adapter-Cable.html i got a RGB cable with loose ends. I have 4 loose ends with the colors: Blue Green Red Yellow I found a corsair pinout on Redit: And i found normal RGB connector pinout https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1008726-extend-3-pin-a-rgb-with-4-pin-extender/ Based on the pinout of the 4 pin connector is should think 12V = yellow Green = G Blue = B Red = R If i follow these two pinouts i should connect it like: Yellow = positive = connection A (left position with the arrow) at corsair pinout Blue = Negative = connection C (right position) at corsair pinout Green = Data = connection B (middle position) at corsair pinout so i leave red away because this is the 3rd pin from the left and the 3rd pin from this left is the pin you are missing / dont use when you put it on a 3 pin connector. DevBiker
So ... to do the cable that you want to do isn't too difficult. Now, the 3rd pin on your four pin cable should be removed. You can cut the wire or just ignore it. Pin 1 on the 5050 will me marked with an arrow. Pin 1 on the Corsair side (Molex) is also marked with an arrow. No code has to be inserted here. Just curious. How will you connect it to the gpu? Afaik no gpu with a 5v argb in header exists from any brand. Asus have a 12v rgb out header on some cards but thats it.
