1. Select the version you want from the list below

[Latest]

[Firmware 2.05 is recommended for devices on CUE 2.X]

[Firmware 2.01 (Scimitar) Requires CUE 1.15.36 or Higher]

5. Do not ask for Firmware uploads. I can not give them out.

USB Pass Through Doesn't Work

If you are having trouble with the USB pass through on your keyboard try the following

1. Make sure both USB ports are plugged in. USB pass through will not work with just one USB port connected.

2. Try charging your phone using the pass through. If you can charge your phone but, your computer does not pick up the phone then the data might be dead on that port.

3. Request a RMA

I Spilled Liquids on my New Keyboard. It's Now Sticky

If you spilled something on your new shiny keyboard and its sticky try the following

1. Your warranty is now voided. So feel safe in opening the thing up.

2. Soak the keyboard in 70-99% isopropyl alcohol for 5 mins.

3. Wipe the sticky area with a cloth.

4. Buy a Might Mug* [spill proof mug, or so they say]

*Corsair does not endorse this product in any way, shape or form. Neither Corsair nor I is responsible for drinks spilled from the Might Mug.

CUE Running in Background, Won't Open

If you are having trouble opening CUE, but it shows up in Task Manager try the following

1. Close CUE using the Task Manager

2. Go to C:\Users\(Your Username)\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\HID

3. Delete the config.cfg.lock file

Coil Whine on LUX or Rapidfire Keyboards

If you are hearing a high pitch whine when your keyboard is powered on try the following

1. Corsair is aware that a batch of their keyboards might of shipped with parts that cause coil whine.

2. They are offering replacements for anyone effected by this issue. Contact Corsair Support and submit a RMA ticket.

3. Shipping back and forth should be free if your keyboard was part of the bad batch.

Void Wireless Issues

If you are having trouble with the Void Wireless try the following

1. Force a firmware update. Setting -> Device -> Update Firmware

2. Repair the Void. Instructions by Corsair Chris [HERE]

Firmware Update Failure

If you are having trouble updating the firmware from Corsair servers it is most likely caused by one of the following

1. There is no file uploaded to Corsair's server because it is a new device that does not have a firmware update yet.

2. There is an issue with Corsairs servers, try again in a few hours.

3. Your firewall is blocking CUE from accessing the internet. Please check your firewall settings.

Selected Profile Changes When Exiting CUE

If your keyboard keeps changing profiles when you're not focused on CUE try the following

1. Make sure the profile is set to default. Using the little "hamburger" attachment.php?attachmentid=21870&stc=1&d=1433522923

2. Right click the Corsair Logo in the notification area next to the clock and make sure it's set to Automatic Profile Switching

Unable to Update Firmware

If your firmware update is stuck at 3% or doesn't work at all the the following

1. Use a different USB port or configuration. Remember if you are using USB 2.0 plug the one with the arrows in first followed by the one with the keyboard.

2. Try running CUE in compatibility mode

2. Make sure that if you use USB 3, use Intel port and not 3rd party vendor like ASmedia.

3. Go to your Corsair installation folder in program files; right click on the Corsair folder and select Properties

4. Then select the Security tab

5. Click on Edit button

6. Make sure that Users and also Trusted Installer has full control

7. Restart CUE and update firmware.

If your updating the firmware on a non CUE device and you are running Windows 10 please see this thread [HERE] and this official comment by Corsair James [HERE]

Unable to Update/Uninstall CUE of If CUE is Not Loading

If you are having trouble installing CUE because the previous CUE will not uninstall of if CUE is not loading try the following

1. Reboot your computer, Exit CUE and attempt uninstall again.

2. Try running the install file for your current software version number and click repair.

3. Try using a 3rd party uninstaller to remove CUE. I personally recommend IObit Uninstaller, it will perform a optional registery scan after uninstalling to remove anything that might of been left by CUE.

4. Delete the CUE files at the install location, and perform a manual registry sweep

WARNING THIS MAY CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

A. Open up Regedit. Start -> Search Regedit

B. Search,Ctrl+F, for the word "Corsair", without the "s, and delete all entries that Have either CUE or Corsair Utility Engine.

C. Hitting F3 will find next. If you have other Corsair software DO NOT delete the entries for those or there will be issues.

Profile Importing Errors/Issues

If you can't import a profile for any reason try the following

Note: Old K95 profile can't be imported because of missing XML code for the 3 mode keys

1. Check if the profile is for your keyboard.

A. Open up the .prf(profile) or .mode(mode) file with WordPad.

B. Check to make sure the <modelName> or <deviceModelName> is the one for your keyboard or mice and change it to, CGK65, K70 (keyboard) or Saber1, or Saber2 (mice).

C. If its is a K65 or K70 .prf you can't change it to a K95.

2. Check the region, some profiles wont work with other regions but most should be fine.

3. Make sure you are importing the right thing.

4. If it's been converted ask the creator to check for errors in the XML file.

5. Check out my other thread here for profiles that work.

Key Chatter, Key Double Typing

If your keys are trying twice for every one click try the following

1. Confirm that you have this issue using Switch Hitter.

2. Try a different polling rate which can be adjusted using the switch in the back.

3. DO NOT blow compressed air into the key!

4. Request an RMA.

Mouse Not Staying Lit

If your mouse not lighting up or staying lit try the following

1. Save the lighting profile to the mouse.

2. Change the polling rate.

3. Get an RMA request as the mouse might be defective.

Device Not Detected

If your device has avoided detection by CUE try the following

1. Make sure your device is supported. [K65 RGB, K70 RGB, K95 RGB, Strafe RGB, All LUX Keybaords || Strafe || M65 RGB, Scimitar, Saber, Katar || Void USB, Void Wireless]

2. Restarting CUE.

3. Try a different polling rate which can be adjusted using the switch in the back.

4. Use a different USB port or configuration. Remember if you are using USB 2.0 plug the one with the arrows in first followed by the one with the keyboard.

Corsair vs Corsair Gaming vs New Corsair Gaming Logo

Yes they did another logo change. Thank [insert Name]. The new logo is used across all of their products now.

&
&

The RGB series keyboards have the exact same key layout as their normal Non-RGB counterpart. They do not have USB pass through and require 2 USB 2.0 ports or 1 USB 3.0 port. All RGB series keyboards have fully rebindable keys and per key adjustable backlighting.

&

The Strafe and Strafe RGB were introduced as cheaper alternatives to their counter parts, the K70 and K70 RGB. Both Strafes have USB pass through but will require both USB headers to be plugged in. They also run on the new CUE software and like the KXX RGB series, they have fully rebindable keys and per key adjustable backlighting. The Strafe RGB comes in the all new Cherry MX Silents key switches; along with red, blue, and brown. The silents is a liner switch like the reds, but quieter. Think of them as reds with built in O rings.

,
,

The new RAPIDFIRE lineup features a updated LED controller, like the one found in the Strafe RGB. This means smooth 16.8 million colors, and USB pass through. Like the Strafe RGB both USB ports must be plugged in for the USB pass through to work. They also come with new Cherry MX Speed (Silver) switches. These new switches have a actuation distance of 1.2mm vs 2.0mm on MX Reds.

One thing to note is that all CUE enabled keyboard and mice uses software based macros instead of hardware based macros. This means the macros are implemented by creating a virtual keyboard, and some games will block inputs from those because botting software also use virtual keyboards to send commands.

All of their other keyboards in their lineup is are the exact same as in the Vengeance series with the exception of a new logo.

Macros and Lighting Tips and Tricks

A few tips and tricks to make your life easier

A: How activate a macro with a multi key combo.

To make a multi key macro you will need one mode, in the same profile, for each key you want to add. This isnt a supported feature persay but more of a work around.

In this example the multi key macro will be Left Ctrl + Left Shift + Right Shift.

1. Go to your main mode and under assignments set the first key (Left Ctrl) in the macro to mode switching. Use Direct mode selection and pick the second mode, Check While pressed, and Uncheck Apply setting to same button at the bottom.

2. Repeat with each key in the key combo. So if you want to use three keys you would go to the second mode and set the second key (Left Shift) in the macro to mode switching. Use the same settings but pick the third mode.

3. In the last mode assign the macro that needs to be executed to the final key (Right Shift) in the macro.

4. Please note that the keys have to be pressed in that order Left Ctrl -> Left Shift -> Right Shift and released in the reverse order so Right Shift -> Left Shift -> Left Ctrl. If the keys are released in the wrong order you will end up on the mode with key change. So if you release in the order of Right Shift -> Left Ctrl -> Left Shift you will end up on the second mode. I recommend copying the default mode as many time as needed so you still have your lighting effects and have a button that will return you to the main mode.

B: Assigning mode switching to a key while maintaining typing functionality.

Written by: Reapexx (Updated Guide with Pictures)

1. Make a profile with 3 modes. The first mode will contain the macros, the second mode is what you're switching to, and the third mode is just a necessity to make this work.

2. Make a macro to press and release the key you want to assign this to.

3. Go to the third mode and select any key: Assign a mode switch to the second mode to it.

4. Export the profile and export the macro.

5. Open up the .prf file (I'd recommend using Notepad++ as it keeps everything tidy).

6. Search for the second mode in the .prf by name, then scroll down until you see the mode ID. It will look something like this:

<id>{23423432-42343423-4324-23423-423423-23423423}</id>

7. Take the ID (in between the <id> tags) and search for it until you find the mode switching action with <DirectModeId> tags around it.

8. Copy the Mode Switch action ID (it will be surrounded by <id> tags, with the name "Mode switching (some number)" right below it).

9. Open up the .act file from the macro that you exported and add the following line above the </Action> line:

<ChainedId>mode switching action ID from step 8, including {} brackets</ChainedId>

10. Save the modified .act file and reimport it.
