Shnizzle
Payment for an advance RMA was processed on August 2nd and I was informed that it would ship within 1 business day. However, in the 2.5 weeks since I have received 6 or 7 assurances via email or phone that it will be shipped in the next '24 to 48 hours' and still nothing. Can anyone give me an accurate explanation for what is happening? My case number for reference is 2000447659
Corsair Employee Corsair Wootaru Posted August 21, 2019 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 21, 2019 Hello, I've wrote to our logistics team in regards to what is going on with your package. I will see if they can find out what is going on and push the item out to be delivered. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Shnizzle
Thanks for moving it along but now this is apparently stuck in customs because it is registered as a new unit rather than a replacement and tax needs to paid. Given this is a replacement for a defective unit I trust you will be covering this. Please take care of it ASAP to stop this dragging on even further. Just to clarify, I don't hold you accountable for the customs policies of my country :) But the previous RMA did not require payment of taxes so can you please update this RMA so it is treated the same way. Corsair Employee Corsair Wootaru Posted August 26, 2019 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 26, 2019 We are aware of the issues with customs when items are being shipped out and we are currently working on it right now.
Shnizzle
I have finally received the replacement unit after 3 previous failed delivery attempts - UPS seems to be as dysfunctional as Corsair. Naturally, it has the same problem as the previous 2 units and after 3 strikes I have had enough. I will send the replacement back, try to find a capable technician locally to address the defective fan and then never have anything to do with Corsair ever again.
