wytnyt
Theres no need to MAKE the fan run, when its needed the Psu will initiate the fan automatically...
Hunter68uk
I also have an AX1200i and to my knowledge the fan has never been needed, it only runs when the PSU needs it to
Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted September 28, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 28, 2015 You have to be pulling about 600W to get the AX1200i's fan to kick in. Otherwise it doesn't need it. :)
kennethtyler
I have the AX1200i and even under extreme overclocking and bench-marking it's fan never came on unless I forced it under link.
Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted September 29, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 29, 2015 Your CPU will only pull about 350W under extremely high loads. The GTX 970, maybe 200W. You're basically still under the threshold of the AX1200i's fan kicking in.
