Corsair Employee Corsair Caliente Posted May 11, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 11, 2020 Hi there, How quickly does your motherboard heat up when you boot up your PC? You may want to start an ticket if you haven't already.
Queeg
I think you should be using iCue instead of Corsair Link with an i160. You might try that.
MxiSlem
thank you for your reply, I filed a support ticket of course, and they suggested to either replace the whole pc or just the CPU pump, but I still don't get it, on one hand my CPU temp when idle is around 42-45C and while gaming it never exceeds 60-65C, on the other hand my GPU temp when Idle is 42 and while gaming it sometimes reaches 72C but no more than that. On BIOS, Motherboard temp value is somewhere around 30-45 when I boot the pc, and when I finish gaming and restart my pc to check its temp I found mb temp between 45-58C! Corsair support suggested it's the CPU pump that it's failing but like I said I don't get it it's supposed to cool the CPU not the motherboard? how is that? any suggestions thank you! and sorry for my bad english PS, when using iCue : I choose temperature for lighting effects, and then chose motherboard, light goes straight to red in all #temperatures except temperature number 3 which switches to green light indicating it's fine. really weird! it even boots up red after more than 6h being shut down Edited May 13, 2020 by MxiSlem
