I bought a Corsair GS 800 (2013 Edition) back in 2015 and I know it is past the warranty period but it is still working for general use. However, lately when under a heavy load such as gaming it gets really hot to the touch despite the fans turning on and it makes whining noises after it suddenly shuts down my computer after overheating.

The voltages shown on iCUE are

Shown Value is to the right

3.3v= 3.33v

12v= 11.95v

5v= 4.96v

Does this mean that it is time to replace my PSU?

The ONLY time I've had a power supply doing that sound is when I tried to use a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W from an LGA 775 Q6600 system to an i5 4690K, and it got louder as it booted and even louder when I open a browser.

My guess, that's what could also happen when having the PSU connected straight to the receptacle and not a power surge, clean power feeding the PSU is necessary.
